Transferring your purchase to Bracken Guns is quite simple…as it should be.  We charge $25.00 per firearm/serialized item (See Notes below) and the shipper will need a copy of our FFL (our License) in order to complete the shipment of.  Upon your request (use the below input form below), we will e-mail them a copy of our Federal Firearms License.

NOTES: Reasons for a $50.00 Transfer Fee:

  1. Customers that do NOT use the below FFL Transfer Request AND
  2. Shipper does NOT include their FFL (License) OR photocopied Driver’s License ID (Private Individuals).  Basically, firearm arrives with no paperwork.
  3. Firearms packaged using “popcorn/peanut type” filler.  Communicate with your shipper please as this create a huge mess on our end that requires extensive cleanup.

Understand that an FFL transfer should be easy with proper documentation. Without it, the time required is ten-fold on our end.  All of the big-name gun stores know this process.  We DO NOT want to charge you $50.00…we don’t!  So PLEASE communicate with your shipper to ensure this documentation is included within the shipment!

NOTE:  For customers wishing to NFA register their Class 3 tranfers (Silencers, Short Barreled Rifles, etc), the cost is $75.00.  Transfers involving “Trusts” are much more complex and are $125.00.  Please note that NFA Registration is no longer required for most of these items, where we use a normal ATF Form 4473 and charge our normal FFL rate of $25.00.

TRANSFER REQUEST

After we email them a copy of our FFL License, they will ship the gun to us for you to pick up.  Have them include either:

  1. A copy of their FFL or a copy of their current Drivers License (if not an FFL dealer).

AND

  1. Your name

  2. Your phone number and/or email address.

After the gun has been processed into our system, we will call or email to let you know that the gun is ready for pick up.  If you are tracking your transfer and it shows it has arrived, that does not mean that it is ready to be picked up.  Please wait 48hrs after your notification by the carrier to avoid extended waits.

To pick up the gun you will need a valid TX photo ID/DL and will need to fill out a Federal Form 4473 for the background check, unless of course you have a current Texas License to Carry/Concealed Handgun License, which will eliminate the background check.  Once all of these are complete, and your background check is a approved, you can pay your transfer fee and take your gun home.

TRANSFERS WILL BE HELD FOR 10 DAYS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.  THERE WILL BE A STORAGE AND INSURANCE FEE OF $15.00 APPLIED PER HANDGUN AND $25.00 PER LONG GUN, PER MONTH FOR FIREARMS NOT PICKED UP WITHIN THE INITIAL 10 DAYS.  TIME WILL BE RETROACTIVE TO THE DATE THE FIREARM ARRIVED.   ANY GUN LEFT AFTER 90 DAYS WILL BE CONSIDERED ABANDONED AND BECOME THE PROPERTY OF BRACKEN GUNS.  IT WILL BE SOLD TO RECOVER STORAGE FEES.  Active Duty Military…just call us!
